Google made Gemini 2.5 Pro’s Deep Think mode generally available across Workspace today. The mode, which famously achieved a gold-medal-level score at the International Mathematical Olympiad, is now exposed as a one-click toggle in the Gemini side panel.
What changes for Workspace users

- Docs draft mode produces longer, better-structured outlines
- Gemini in Gmail summarizes 100+ message threads with citations
Latency remains the trade-off. Deep Think responses typically take 20–60 seconds, which is why Google ships it as an explicit mode rather than the default.
